Areas of Interest and Service

I provide consultation to hold circles at organizations or businesses as well as provide training services to train on circle process, and to train circle keepers.

I am also interested in providing Talking Circles addressing power, privilege, and difference and to teach nonviolent communication.

Bio

Amena Chaudhry is a Pakistani-Canadian and a recent American citizen. She was born in Toronto, Canada, and grew up living in both Canada and Pakistan. She graduated from University of Toronto in 1997 with a major in Human Biology and minor in Near Eastern languages. She has lived in Pakistan, Syria, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Nevada, Connecticut,
and moved to the FM area in July 2007. An outspoken advocate for social justice, Amena is a qualified mediator with experience resolving conflicts and helping facilitate discussions across differences. Amena has been a student of Nonviolent Communication and has extensive experience in resolving conflicts through Nonviolent Communication, Circle processes, and Restorative Practices.

Amena is an effective collaborator, with proven success in partnering with enterprise leadership to design and implement learning, talent, and conflict management strategies to increase organizational effectiveness and to help increase employee retention.
