Bio

Ms. Schoene Mahmood oversees the Restorative Justice Project at Loyola Marymount University’s Center for Urban Resilience (LMU CURes) and brings 16 years of experience in RJ Practices. Prior to joining LMU CURes, she facilitated 400+ juvenile suspension / expulsion, arrest, and court diversion cases referred by the Maryland State’s Attorney’s Office, the Department of Juvenile Services, the Baltimore City Police Department and Baltimore City Schools. In partnership with K-12 school community members, Schoene offers Restorative Practices trainings that include mandatory skill-building workshops. Most recently, she has been invited to provide Restorative Conferencing facilitation services to higher-education stakeholders and to employees of non-profit organizations.
