Experienced Practitioner / Facilitator
With a degree in Human Services Management, Belinda has over 25 years of experience as a Human Resource Professional within a multiplex of organizations such as, Hospices, American Cancer, G4S, Addiction Centers, Sexual Assault Centers and Hospital Settings.
In 2008, As a Human Resource Director for a secured high risk juvenile residential facility, Belinda was introduced to and trained to facilitate the circle process for all of its employees over a seven year span.
In the ensuing years, utilizing her training and certification as a Grief and Trauma Support Specialist, she has assisted the SAO in supporting families experiencing trauma due to violence. She has also provided support services to people of varied demographics within the genre of
Addiction, Mental Health,Convicted Felons, Sexual Assault Survivors and Families of Homicide Victims.
Bio
Belinda, a Connecticut native, is a happily transplanted Floridian wife,mother and grandmother. She is a Human Resource professional with over 25 years experience, Bullets4Life ambassador, senseless gun violence advocate and sexual assault resource producer. She has also served seven sessions as a facilitator for the Nationally Recognized Grief Share Program.
Belinda has a passion for serving and advocating for the under-served and being a voice for those that have been muted. She is also the parent of a child who was murdered. This life-altering experience increased her ability, empathy, and passion to support those who are experiencing trauma. Utilizing her education and years of training, she is able to facilitate restorative and peacekeeping circles for those seeking a semblance of restoration.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family ( especially the grands) and friends,traveling, reading, dancing, eating gourmet food and a little gardening.
